Hi everyone

Hi my name is Stephanie,
I own an AJS Regal Raptor DD125E, I live in Staffordshire and I've had the bike a few months.
I've always much preferred the purity and simplicity of bikes over the bulky plastic and roughly bolted-together feel of cars. They can keep their loud music and pointless exhaust racket.
I'm a computer games design student, a cyber-architect if you like - levels and realism and all that; been into it since I was sat on my Dad's knee making simple programs on his Commodore 64. When I wasn't riding up and down the road sat on the back of his Honda of course...
Now I have a PC that can do everything except make tea, and a black and chrome beauty of a machine that I call my own. She's very high maintenance and doesn't like water much, but I love her all the same.
Anyway, I've been meaning to talk to other bikers for a while, so here I am
I actually had an accident the other day. I wasn't hurt
too
bad but we both rolled a bit and now I have to fix her before I can ride her again.

Welcome in, hope the pointless exhaust racket doesn't extend to bikes, else I'd best get my coat
Hope you and the bike are ok too.

lol no, there's a subtle difference - it's called class
- and yeah, I'm not too bad thanks, bruised all up my right side, it's all ok really but the ribs hurt a bit. Not exactly the kind of entrance to a biker forum that really gives the best impression I suppose, neither does falling off because of a badly-designed speed bump. Not exactly "rock and roll" is it

Hope the ribs and brusing mend soon. Don't worry about the falling off, we've all done it, 3 on my list excluding the off road adventures - if they count i'm into double figures

Thanks for the advice and yes, she's costing me a bit now, triple figures just for the majors... having rolled a bit, everything that isn't structurally solid was smashed off, bent, buckled or dented in some way or another. The real sick irony here is that when I came off, I was going to get some 'Autosol' to clean up a small ding I had picked up a day earlier.
After the crash I need 'Miracle-sol'...

I already am enjoying it.
Interesting thing to go through looking at the things other people talk about on here, I've learnt a fair bit about things I haven't encountered already and find many things intriguing. The way people jumped to help me out with my electrical problem is astonishing too; best not to struggle through things alone. I'm happy to be here

Thank you very much.
Finally got a half-decent picture of my actual bike as my profile pic now. Hurrah!
(Damn I hate those 'L' plates
)
On a good note, I've fixed 99% of the damage now, as you can see. We have no left foot rest or gear shift lever again yet, but soon... soon...
