Hello! I'm Lou from Bristol. I currently ride a Yamaha Diversion XJ6. My first bike was a Suzuki Marauder which had a very respectable top speed of 60mph downhill with the wind behind us! I then passed my direct access in June 2010 and bought a Moto Guzzi Breva 750, which was perfect for about 24 hours until I rode to London and it died by Air Street approaching Picadilly Circus in London, filtering thorugh the traffic and lodged snugly between a double-decker and a black cab. The bike and I were picked up and brought back to Bristol, not happy. Took it back the next day and they very kindly loaned me the Diversion. We fell in love and I still have him to hold and cherish!! Love my bike! My cousin Peter put me on to this site and I'm really looking forward to getting to know more bikers, both virtually and in person. As a novice and surrounded by bikers, it's always great to step out your comfort zone and meet more like-minded bods. Thanks for reading my post!! Lou

try that again...
Hi Lou, newbie here. I'm curious, as I only passed my CBT start of Nov and bought a brand new YBR 125 which I love. But.....already can't help looking at my "potential" next bike when I hopefully pass my DAS early next year and was tentatively looking at the Diversion or other 600s.
Cleary you're luvin' it but any negatives on the Divvy?

The only negative I have is that the pillion seat is quite high and as a novice I can only take pocket-pal sized friends while I'm getting up my confidence. It really is a great bike and I'm so glad I had to go through breaking down in the middle of London to get it!! Mine has all the fairings on it, but they come in all different forms! Aesthetically pleasing apart from the stinger-like tail which can be changed, I've kept mine. Wish it had a bit more umph now, but the finances are assigned elsewhere for now. Honestly I was a bit scared of it's size, but it's a total dream to ride and I'm rather very much attached to him. Hope that helps.
