I've been "lurking" for a while... Paul, living in Northampton, passed theory,cbt,mod 1 and 2 in Sept/Oct , all my good intention not to buy a bike until next year, failed miserably  and I purchased a Yamaha Diversion F mid October. Now starting the learning process. I've registered with Bikesafe for the next available course, anyone any comments on IAM or any other recommendations? |

Welcome matey! Another newbie like me  we're taking over...  I was at the NEC bike show yesterday and was spekaing to the BikeSafe lot - they say and I agree, the more training you can get the better! So I'm doing BikeSafe as soon as Beds Police decide to run it again and then the IAM... Enjoy riding |

Local Rospa are good. Small group that are inclined towards the test.
IAM had a lot of members from Northampton.
I am in RoSPA. 9.30 from the Sixfields Cinema if you are interested whether you just pop round for a chat. I've only been twice this year due to work commitments.
Your welcome to poodle out with Maria or myself at weekends after 1pm to give me time to get home and changed.
Got another just passed test lady joining us soon on her to be GPZ500.
Can give you a fast track learning or you can just ride. Maria is happy to use me rather than joining one of the groups.
Northants Bikesafe is great fun. I still go when I can get in!

At this time of year it's vital to get rid of the salt, so yes. Bikes don't react so well with the salt from the roads, so get the bike coated in ACF50 (other makes are available!) if you flan to ride through the winter, otherwise it'll look all pimply by the spring |
