Hope too.

Got the bike, stripped it down, getting fairing this week sometime, need to do the fork seals and oil I think, maybe one day you could pop round and take a butchers, rear shock etc needs playing with too, but would be best at the track I guess. Bit gutted as quite a few niggly bits missing and wrong, no air filter, small hole in rad, jubilee clips missing here and there and the wiring looks like my boy put it together, and some other bits. It had trouble starting but eventually it fired up for about 10 secs, the noise was crazy so I have got an exhaust coming as well as service parts too.

Dead excited.

Dave.

I wont be thrashing it round the track as Im still paying "Mr Finance" for the bike

Plus I'd need to get some leathers sorted and sort out the 5 year old tyres embarrassed that came with the bike when i bought it

I could say I would take it easy but I know only too well that once I got into it, all sensibility would disappear.

Don't know, never been before.  I've heard good things though.  Certainly looks interesting: http://g.co/maps/6cmm

Stick yourself in the novice group and build yourself up slowly.  By the end of the day you'll be loving it. very happy

Its a great circuit but can be very windy.  And most TD's there are run by the GOD of TD's, Phil Bevan.   (note the sarcasm!!!)

Lets put it politely, if you used to do a lot of TD's, yopu would know him as he ran some TD's all over.  He upset a lot of people.  I'm not going to say he was always wrong, but he has no diplomacy.  He did make a hash of our 400 greybike TD..........., more through attitude when the weather was awful and there was a lot of TD 1st timers there

It's with No Limits, so unless Bevan is moonlighting with them then it's unlikely.  He appears to be running his own trackday company based at Pembrey.  http://www.philbevantrackdays.com/

I'm booked on at Oulton Park next tuesday (20th) if anybody is going.

Easytrack have a special offer on at the moment so it's £99 if you use the code (there's also an offer on for cadwell). The website also gives you 30% off bike hire, but unfortunately that turns out to be a mistake and they're making me pay the difference sad

Just done my first track day at Cadwell today, well it was a Hopp rider training day actualy, although it was in the tinkle pouring rain. 3 others dropped their bikes and I had quite a twitch trying to power up the Mountain :-o
My lines need some serious work so I'm gonna try an evening session sometime, hopefully in the dry.

True but it's miserable! Bidgeo I went for an evening at Cadwell last year with Easytrack and they did it as open pitlane. We ended up riding for 15-20mins then knocking off for about the same, so got a lot more riding in than theusual sessions. It's a great track though, very technical, and you usually seem to get a good standard of rider there which makes the newbies look even greener. If you're going into Coppice under 100 then you're soft!

it rained most of the morning yesterday at oulton park, but i think i was actually having the best laps then. I was overtaking absolutely everybody (albeit in the novice group). Though I did have one brown pants moment when my bike seemed to slide and shake going around the chicane.

Though I did have a secret weapon:

Well WS, I'm glad you have faith lol, seriously, after about 10 mins it will be fine I hope, just need to sort the riding position out, my knees touch my elbows and I may need to get some tyres for it I think, the rear has had a puncture repaired and judging by the state of the bikes previous servicing I'm not sure it will hold out.

Well, it's been a while since I was last at Cadwell and in the meantime I've been doing some of the bigger tracks (Silverstone, Donny etc).   teacake me, talk about brain re-calibration.   I'd forgotten just how narrow Cadwell is.  I spent the better part of two sessions getting my speed sense sorted out!

Not really, the usual wheelies.

After 21:30 tonight or any reasonable time over the weekend. Basically, if you wake Emma up then she'll be after you!

Well, if you haven't done Anglesey, I'd thoroughly recommend it.  The layout is excellant, the surface smooth and the tarmac grippy.  It also has some great scenario.  You just need to remember not to look at it in preference to making the next corner!

The only real downside it the wind and the fact that you need to remember to clean the salt off of your visor every session.  And in this case, every session meant every 20 minutes as they decided to run two groups rather than three due the number of riders.   We got a hell of a lot of track time.  Well, Dave not so much but I'll let him explain that one!

P.S  Knee down!  very happy   Only on the right though.  Must work on the left at Mallory in a couple of weeks.
