I think i all ready know the answer to this but here goes

Im going to cadwell on the 3rd aug and a friend of mine would like to come along. He is currently banned from riding and doesnt get his license back for some time. (we would trailer his bike down)

Can he still do a track day? in the small print it does say requires a valid drivers license.

Also i dont think he has surrended his license so could present it on the day. Would he get away with it ?

if he hasnt surrendered his licence then he should be ok,  when every I have checked in for a trackday all they do is look at both parts of your licence (thats if the even bother), in my opinion if his licence says he is clean then he should be fine.

they check both parts of your licence, so assuming he had those i guess he could get away with it, but it would be a bit naughty

if you have an ACU licence then you don't need a driving licence i believe

Unless they have access to the DVLA database as police does he should get away with the control, in case of crash and insurance issues, I think doing this could impair his case if the reality of his situation is grabbed by some cuny and imaginative person.

Although I don't like the riders speeding on the road, I think that the track should be freely and totally accesssible to any person, biker or rider, even those who just want to have a go according to their skill level.
This free access would clean the roads of many riders and may satisfy bikers willing to test their pride and joy to the limits, without frustration when ever they want for their enjoyment...
The maintenances of tracks could be framed by a kind of charity using volunteers to fullfill the basics and all easy tasks, saving money for more imortant works (tarmac).

I guess they don't want dangerous riders in the track though, so this coups be one of the reasons, they also want to make sure you can actually ride your bike (or at least passed a test)

It's a good idea however stephan, but probably too difficult to implement successfully

It'd be like the Nurburgring though.

It'd be like the Nurburgring though.

A bit like, but better organised and only for a type of vehicle according to a schedule what in motorcycle language will be translated as Biker sessions, so regular licenced ones:
- Beginners
- Medium
- Confirmed
Those of the public who want to look at would pay a fee to benefit the charity...

Then one day a week or more you can have the "Refused riders specials" (those who have no discipline an who have been expelled of all the previous cathegories, even banned from driving) allowed too, as we are on a Track far from the road:
- Non road licenced (Rides whoever is able to manage a bike)
- Skid riders...
The fees for the public attending these sessions would be higher, due to the amount of damage expected, but seen how some people are when they hear the word "crash", I guess that it won't bother them to see the "fools" unleashed...
(I guess that there might be less damage than we thought as the riders may react differently in the middle of a pack of one their kind may learn some certain behaviour tips)

This made, it may resolve to my sense about 90% of the speeding problems in an area and leave those who don't like sports and speed relaxing... Multiplicate the tracks and this kind of experience, and you save life on the public roads... angel

An ACU licence costs just under £100, you don't need a dvla one then, just a thought.

having a ACU licence does not mean you can do all track days.  It's not a race day so only valid UK licences count.
Maybe worth looking on on the TD websites to see whether or not a licence is needed as some don't check from what I remember.  May be wrong.  Sure I printed it up on the TD advisory section

I've been with a load of different companies and they've all insisted on seeing licenses
