I'm looking for track-day insurance, been searching Google all day and come up with only one company Morris insurance, http://www.kartinsurance.com Sent them a email and they now tell me that they no longer cover motorcycles due to the high risk.
Can anybody point me in the right direction?.

Find one in there that Morris don't back?

Might be better off looking at a hire bike that comes with insurance, or a cheaper bike you're not worried about.

the excess is usually around £500 + 120 for the insurance itself, probably cheaper in the long run to buy a dedicated bike

TD insurance is usually a waste of time. If you're going to do them regularly then it's worth getting a spare set of plastics, plenty of cheap pre-scuffed ones on fleabay etc. and thinking about using a van or trailer to get to the track. Beyond that it's down to how often you'll ride and how worried you are about crashing. As Martin says, you could hire a bike, e.g. Smallboys have been used by a number of people on here, cost is something like £200-300 per meet plus a maximum of about £450 crash costs, but you get a top bike with pit brioche and no worries about anything.

Never an easy answer I'm afraid! The last thing is that you won't have any third party insurance, but then you won't find anyone else who has either.

Maybe the OP is more worried about personal injury off of the trackday not the bike damages
