Yup nothing wrong with a ZZR. The pipes rot I believe. Parts are easy to come by and fairly inexpensive. Even buying from Sakakrapi themselves they don't rip you off in my experience as much as other manufacturers. You should be able to pick up a good one fairly cheaply.

Love this bike since I was about 20. Though admittedly back then I dreamt about the 250 zzr. Don't seem to see them anymore.  broken heart

Qwakers had the 250 GPZ. I think it was a GPZ. I have seen ZZR 250s about, I think. Never pay too much attention to 250s though. Unless I had the chance of owning/riding a CBR 250  love (and I am not talking about the latest incarnation  bat)

So where is this one for under a grand? By rights, they should be under a grand. However do not be tempted on price alone. Be pragmatic. There is no point buying a bike for £750 that you then have to spend another £750 to keep it on the road. It is no fun when you have a bike that suffers problem after problem, you have to take the bus everywhere again while it is in the 'shop and you are left with the choice of keeping sinking money in or cutting your losses. So you have to be a bit savvy. There may be virtually no difference in price between a decent one and a lemon.

The cheapest I normally see is floating just above the £1000 mark.

Most of their bikes come with 12 months mot but not sure if this one will. If it does I'll very likely buy it. Only problem is I have a divorce to pay for and Christmas is only round the corner. Maybe I can blag it as an early Xmas pressie to myself? lol

EDIT:
It's the last one on page 7.

Gpx250, but yeah, great bike. if i had it now it would get torn apart, and id start by putting usd forks and a decent shock on it, then id rip the engine apart and replace the valves and seats, overbore it and port and polish it. one day i might get another.

It is down in Dorset now. I sold it to a bloke who owned over 30 bikes! Every time I look at the pics I wish I had kept it but my sportsbike days are over now. They are only comfortable when you are doing over 90 so I was either in pain or in danger of losing my licence.

Mine was a FZS6S, went like stink, comfortable and cheap to insure. 98bhp straight after the test was a bit of an eye opener.
